Where it is used
Not every commercial store room is a warehouse. A law firm's archive, a clinic's consumables cupboard, a café's dry store and a boutique's stockroom all need sturdy shelves — but in a finish that does not look industrial and in depths that suit a small room.
That is where the white boltless rack earns its place. See how offices lay out archive and IT rooms on our office storage racking page, or how retailers speed up replenishment in retail stockroom racking.
Questions
A boltless rack locks together without nuts or bolts: butterfly-shaped slots in the steel uprights take the hooks on each beam end, and the beam drops down and wedges tighter as load goes on. Shelves sit on the beams. It goes up with a rubber mallet, and every level can be moved later. Our boltless vs bolted shelving guide compares the two systems.
Up to 200kg per level, evenly spread. That covers files and archive boxes, retail stock, packaging, canned and dry goods, and most catering equipment. For heavier cartons, drinks pallets broken down by hand or engineering spares, use the 400kg warehouse rack.
The shelves are smooth, powder-coated steel that wipes clean and does not absorb spills the way chipboard or timber does. Restaurants usually keep the lowest shelf raised off the floor so the area underneath can be cleaned. Our restaurant and F&B racking page covers dry-store layout in detail.
Each bay stands on its own frames, so you can set bays side by side along a wall, turn a corner with a second run, or place two runs back to back in the middle of a room. We plan the arrangement from your floor plan when you request a free quote.
No drilling is needed for normal use — the bays are freestanding and stable on a level floor with the heaviest items on the bottom shelves. Where a tall run stands in a busy area, we will tell you if anchoring is advisable before we install.
